A Night on the G-Town A while back, we rented the movie Bottle Shock. It was a quirky story that took place in 1970s Napa Valley when American vineyards were just beginning to produce wines that competed with those produced in France. The movie itself was great and I highly recommend it, but back to the topic at hand. While watching the movie, my husband and I developed a desire to learn more about wines and winemaking. The idea faded pretty quickly since we don’t live near a vineyard and don’t know anyone with expertise in wines. But just recently, our interest has been revived. |

A Day at the Zoo As a parent, I want my children to have an appreciation and respect for the environment and the natural life that exists in balance with it. Exposing them to new flowers, trees, and bugs in our neighborhood is a good start toward developing this connection. Another great way to help establish familiarity with and concern for wildlife is by visiting the zoo. And it’s closer than you might think. |
